an ancient möriger-type bronze sword replica with a mythical twist.

this solid bronze cast sword fragment was originally supposed to be a full sword, but as you can see, it did't cast very well, the mold did not fill up as expected,

so, what I did I decided to finish it up as an archeological piece, and I decided to leave the little "bronzicles" at the end so that it would look like it was broken by extreme heat, (such as dragons fire? ;)

Nuada is a king of tuatha dé danann, in irish mythology, go wikipedia it up---_>

The "bronzicles" make the piece look like it was cast from plastic or a CGI image for some reason. I believe that's because sword blades don't normally melt. If you don't mind a suggestion, the sword would look incredible if you broke off the melted sections, ground the defective areas into some cruel, concave points to give the overall impression that the blade had been broken and then reclaimed as a dagger.

This isn't exactly a new idea. It was done to spectacular effect in the original Conan The Barbarian film. People have, in fact, taken perfectly good versions of what's known as The Father's Sword, and ground them down to create the broken look.
