If I were the metalworking type (I am about average at woodworking but would prefer not to do it of my own accord, and I SUCK at ceramics, so I'd probably be terrible at metalworking), and I went to that school, I'd be both worried about the safety of the school's security, and I would also be doing this:
Interesting, because I'd go crazy if I spent 8 hours doing nothing but pounding away at metal, especially since I'd probably screw up somewhere and have to take extra time fixing the problem. Even then, it's possible someone could steal the sword or grab it when you aren't expecting and start murdering people (you might be surprised at how likely that is where school killings are involved).
yeah well when you're working in an enviroment where you have the tools to make a sword, you most likely have a bunch of standard tools hangin around that are just equally dangerous, but you'd be suprised about how meditative forging can be, there is something primordial about glowing hot metal that really enchants the mind
Like lights do, you mean, especially considering the metal is glowing and thus counts as a light? XD Yeah, I can understand that. Still not sure I'd be able to take staring at it and hammering at it for eight hours straight though. Even if I'm entranced by it and love watching metal glow, I still would get bored after a while.
